Where to Read About What

I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop making grand, sweeping announcements as to what this place, this spot of the internet, actually is. Is it a party blog? Not really. When your archives include things like your baby's first roll-over or your pre-baby bucket (read: drinking too much) list adventures, it's not quite the professional image one might want. Is it a personal blog? No, not so much anymore. I stopped updating everyone on me other than business owner me. I've stopped posting cute pics of Gabe. I've stopped snapping pics every time I get new couch pillows.

Honestly, I'm confused as to what I want this place to be. I've talked about it before, merging blog Shannon with business Shannon. It's a weird line and I'm still not comfortable straddling it. So once again, I've made another decision to change things up. I know, you probably don't care. I'm not even positive who reads this blog anymore. But just for the record, here's my plan.

Shannanigans will go back to being Shannanigans. I may blog, I may not. I might have John ghost writing for me. Can I do that? Is that weird? It won't be the business blog anymore. I won't be posting links on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram. I'm just relying on you to check back in on us now and then. And hopefully we'll have something to show you.

Like this!

The business blog will be over on the business website, where it makes sense, right? Since we're (Kristen & I) are immersed in this wedding and party world, we like writing about it. So we're gonna write more about weddings & events over there plus updates on all the real life events we handle. I'd love it if you checked in on that too.

So now that I've set things straight again, I vow to keep the changes to a minimum. Now let's see if I can get some actual blogging going. Wait, do people even blog anymore? No? Crap.

I still read. And I still blog.

And I love this picture of you two.

Will you remind me to go to your other blog on FB? Because I'm more likely to see it there. Reading blogs is a tough business. A full-time job that I no longer have time for now that I don't have a full-time job. ;)
