A Trifle Bar!

As a favor for my cousin, I hosted one of those direct sales parties the other night. She is selling pricey skincare and makeup and needed some people to practice her sales pitch. I know that these parties are normally sort of annoying due to their high pressure sales techniques but I assured everyone that in exchange for coming, I would provide some snacks. Worth it snacks. And since it was after dinner, what better than lots and lots of dessert?

I decided on a Trifle Bar ( basically any layered dessert) because you can mix so many different types of sweets and everyone will find something they like. And if not, well then I don't want to be friends with them.  I started with my soft layers: chocolate pudding, whipped cream, raspberry filling and marshmallow cream. You could do all sorts of flavors of pudding or fruit pie fillings.

Then you add another layer: pound cake cubes, graham cracker crumbs, toasted coconut and cinnamon. The possibilities here are endless!

You can also add tons of fruit! Blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, anything you can think of...

Finally, the crunchy toppings: nuts, chips, candies, whatever floats your boat.

I had some extra to-go containers  & wooden spoons lying around so I made them cute. However after taking one bite, I've officially denounced wooden utensils. I've used them before but this is the last straw. They make look fancy but no, no more bamboo spoons in my mouth, thankyouverymuch.

I scored my glittery pink reindeer & my faux fur wreath at Homegoods. I'm obsessed with both. The flannel tablecloth is fabric from Joann.

So what's your favorite layer? I'm a pound cake girl myself.

This is amazing. I mean, no one can top this! I dind't even know what a trifle was before this post. ;)

Seriously though, you knocked this out of the park. And I love that set up. The plaid cloth with the tree stumps and the deer head. Inspired.

Based on this post alone, I would come to any party you throw, no matter what product might be pitched at said party. This is so gorgeous and looks so tasty!
