If you hadn't heard me shout from the rooftops about how much I love school already, then you need to adjust your hearing. Both Gabe and I have been patiently waiting for the day that we would part ways for a few hours each week. Well that time has come my friends. Gabe has started preschool. And like any proud mama, I'm about to bombard you with photos.
Admittedly, I was a little worried about taking pics right before we left for school. Gabe is known these days to run the other way when he spots a camera so it must have been divine intervention. Or the promise of a Starburst. (Hey, they're not working for potty training, I have to use them for something). Either way, he did me proud with his little photoshoot.
Although I picked out his outfit, I dressed him in his favorite colors "Orange and light Blue and dark Blue".
Show me the "pack back!"
I mean, look at this kid. I can't take it! He's so freakin cute.
And off he goes!
John works from home sometimes so both of us took Gabe to his first day. I thought I needed the arm to grip when I started to break down. Luckily I threw my sunglasses on towards the end to hide the tears forming and we hightailed it out of there to go out to a kid-free lunch.
When I picked him up however, I asked all the normal questions "Did you have fun? Did you talk to any other kids? Did you have a favorite toy?" Well apparently I picked up a high schooler because his answers were "No. No. I didn't".
When I got home, the teacher had emailed pics of him running under a big rainbow parachute, playing cars, riding a bike...and when I showed Gabe, he admitted loving it. This kid's a stinker. An adorable little preschool stinker.
