I cannot CANNOT wait to get my house decorated for fall. It's my favorite time of year (apparently along with the rest of you pumpkinspicelovingbloggers) and I love getting all Halloweened up. Unfortch, my house is overrun by wild animals at the moment. And until they clear out, I'm not bringing any more chaos into my home. I've got a big safari themed first birthday party this weekend so it's crunch time. Centerpieces are stacked in my breakfast room, mock dessert tables are on my dining room table and fun things like tiger striped oreos are arriving on my doorstep. Wanna see some sneaks?
First of all, when my client requested that all of the tables be set, I sung with joy then got to work making some choices for her. One was considerably more expensive than the other.
She and her husband chose the green option on the right, which I secretly loved because I wanted to glitter some animals. I've since learned that one or two is fun but 18? Notsomuch. Anyway, my favorite part is the centerpieces, which I've tried to replicate. Here is the sneak peek I sent to my client...
I'm pretty much loving them.
She had also requested a dessert table so this is the idea I dreamt up...
Originally we were set to run with the whole thing but the costs started getting a little out of hand so we scaled it back a little. Big posters of African plains at sunset are surprisingly expensive! Anyway, here is a sneak of what I'm working on...
Obviously without all of the cute desserts, the effect is not quite there. But oh man, this weekend it will ALL be there. I'm so excited to see it come together. And take 345 pictures. And overshare. Then we'll get all sorts of Halloween around here.

This is so cute! Can't wait to see the rest. I am thinking this might be my favorite party that you have put together yet.
Loving it! Can't wait to hear all about it. And is no one concerned over the very explicit trunk holding going on with those two elephants? SAUCY.
What a cute, cute party - can't wait to see more.
Adorbs as always! as usual I can't wait to see how it looks in the end.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm up to my eyebrows in a 1s birthday monster mash decor. Girl, I don't know how you do this

I would have never thought of glittering safari animals, but that's why you are a genius. I love the crates too and can't wait to see this all come together.
Amazing!! Can't wait to see the final dessert table!
OMG - looks so fun! I love the painted crates, nice idea!
Looks great! Although I'm a little bummed that you didn't ask me to give you some first-hand safari knowledge.
You could have borrowed the buffalo vertebrae that I smuggled home in my suitcase as a centerpiece. Your loss.
