I know I keep saying that my clients are awesome but man, I really mean it. Somehow people keep hiring me that let me run wild with ideas then actually give me the go ahead to make them a reality. It's all I've ever wanted. So this past weekend, a very lucky little one year old had a safari themed party. His mama requested an amazing dessert table and tablescapes that would impress. Um, done and done. (You know, if I do say so myself)
I know I mentioned on Friday that we scrapped the ideas for a backdrop but when I saw the room's garden mural, I knew we needed something to bring the chaos down a notch. Luckily I had snagged a bunch of orange tissue paper on clearance at Targ and brought it with me for emergency cuteness sakes. I'm so glad I did! I folded it over, cut some fringe then started taping it to the wall. It only took me a few minutes and it made a big difference.
See what I mean?
The only element I didn't have a direct hand in was the cake. I knew it was going to be awesome based on the fact that I knew the bakery. But when my client told me she sent them my dessert table plans so they could design around it, I got giddy with excitement. And they nailed it.
There's just something so amazing about tables that are set, isn't there? I think they're one of my very favorite things in the whole world.
And lots of hugs and cheese fries go out to my day-of assistant, Adrienne, who set up and broke down the party like a champ. Thanks Adrienne!
Have I convinced you to hire me yet? What are you waiting for???
