So ever since my Mother's Day brunch guest post on Michael's blog, these paper flowers have become quite the hot commodity. Everyone wanted to know how to make them. So I finally got my shizz together and had John take pics of me making one. Hurray bags!
Now you're probably thinking, wait a minute Shan, these don't look nice and full like the ones pictured. Well you're right. This is the base. feel free to go around, repeating the process with a second bag, adding more petals or a bigger, twisted middle. It's hard to mess up. Just keeping adding layers until you're happy.
If you have any questions, leave them in the comments.
Have a great weekend kiddies!

I love that John is involved with your blog.
Any training tips?
Your so clever!!! Love these... Thanks :)
Love that you noted the chicken nugget crumb :)
Love me some paper bag flowers! Woot! (Just keep an eye on Killer. He'll burn a bish.)
I love the added colored petals. Pretty. :)
This tutorial made me happier than it probably should. We both win!
How did you hang them in the tree?
Sarah- I glued a loop of fishing line to the back, then strung more fishing line thru the loop and around the tree. Then tied it in 6 or 7 knots. Hope that makes sense.
I found this sweet tutorial about a week ago, and I can't stop laughing about "treat yo self" !!! Totally made my day/week/month! Oh, and the flowers are awesome too.
I love paper bag crafts! I did an Indian teepee project with my second graders during the last week of school - it was completely successful! Super fun for the kids and looked great!
The only thing that could make these flowers better is me sitting on the couch eating oreos watching you make them for me. I'm working on a project for church and need a buncha wall decor (with no budget for said decor) and it looks like we have a winner - THANK YOU!!
