Come Aboard My Egg Boat

Ahoy there. I welcome you to my Egg Boat. What's an egg boat you ask? It's this.

Oh man guys, they are so so good. Maybe it's cause I love breakfast foods. Or maybe it's because I love bread. It's probably the combination of the two to result in a boat of breakfast noms. I found the recipe at Spoon Fork Bacon via Pinterest and decided to whip it up for dinner. I subbed a bunch of stuff, mostly to accomodate what we had on hand, like cubed ham steak for pancetta, monterey and cheddar for gruyere, that sort of thing. It was so so good. You can cut the baquettes in half and none of the ingredients will run. It's a nice tidy meal, perfect for brinner. Or brunch. Or whenev. Just put on your deck shoes and take a ride on an egg boat. You won't be sorry.

This is so FANCY. Looks like something froma fancy restaurant. Obviously, I'd cut the ham (gag!), but it does look tasty.

I was about to say this looks like it should be served in a fancy restaurant, but Woodward beat me to the punch. This looks like it should reside nicely on my thighs. Bread and eggs? I mean, how can you go wrong?
