Really Shan? We're Gonna Blog About the Weather?

So...this weather sure is something eh? Like most of the country, we've had a pretty mild winter. On one hand I love it. We can still get out and about without freezing off our rears. And if you know Gabe (and you all do) then you know that he requires at least 30, preferably 90, minutes of O-U-T side time a day. He just freaking loves it. If you know me (and you all do) you know that I'd rather be inside, fingerpainting. But that's besides the point. The point is that the awesome weather has meant that we are not cooped up inside. Running around outside makes for good naps, which makes for happy moms. The bad part? I rely on the frigid cold to kill the stupid stink bugs that plague this area. So come springtime, those effers will be like, "Oh hey, we're still alive! We made it! Let's be annoying!". So yeah...pros and cons.

One of those warmer days showed up a few weeks ago but it rained like hell all morning. But since it was nice out, that afternoon I knew it was time to introduce Gabe to the art of puddle jumping. I think he liked it.

 Cheese!

So let me get this straight. You're sayin I can get my feet dirty? Doesn't this go against everything you've ever told me?

Oh mama, I thought the day would never come. I love you.

Boom goes the dynamite!

Ok, that was fun, but how about now I put my hands in it?

Ok mama, the whole neighborood heard you with the No Gabe! Dirty! No!

I'll just stomp enough to soak my pantalones. That'll teach ya.

I just look cute here Ma.

Ok so within a few days, this happened. We got a coating of snow. Not even enough to pull out the sled we gave him for Christmas. But definitely enough to dress him up in a snowsuit a la the kid in A Christmas Story. I can't move my arms!

He didn't really care about the snow. He mostly wandered around the yard with a bored look on his face.

So according to Gabe, rain good, snow meh. At the rate we're going, I can assume we'll be out sunbathing next week in our tiny swimming trunks and sunglasses. Most likely adorable. Thanks for reading about our weather.

Ralphie, I can't get up!!!

Gabe already looks like a pro at puddle jumping. I have yet to get rain boots for my son but I really really should. I am more or an inside person too but my boy loves going for walks outside.

You might have to stop posting photos of Gabe. I don't think my eyes can handle the cute. Every. single. photo is cuter than the one before!!!!

There is NOTHING cuter than toddlers in rain boots. Especially yours. And mine. I love that he has the classic yellow kind, too.

Ha ha, Gabe did look so bored walking around in the snow! Such cute pics!

Snow Gabe side shot of him walking makes me laugh a lot. It is the determined look on his face or annoyed or whatever but its got a few chuckles out of me.

Adorable!! And seriously, weather this winter has been strange. Really strange. I really wouldn't surprised to see pics of Gabe in summer gear next!! ;) All caught up again on your blog - love the pillows you have on your chair in the other post - super cute!!

I would never bring Gabe inside if he always looked that cute. You could just fence him up in the backyard and photograph him.

I would make a great mom.

I'm not sure why the spanish word for pants makes me chuckle every time I read or hear it but it does. You can imagine how awkward that makes my home when that insurance commercial comes on and the man says "No mas pantelones" I totally spelled that wrong.

P.S. Gabe is too cute for words!
