I'm, admittedly, not the biggest music fan. I don't keep up with new artists or albums but I know what like. And what I like is U2. So this time last year, when they were scheduled to play, I was very very pregnant. Yeah, no way I was buying tickets only to end up being miserable, ya know? Well as fate would have it, Bono had some back issues and they cancelled the show. It was rescheduled for this past week and amazingly enough, the opportunity presented itself for my best friend and I to go see them. It was everything we expected it to be. In fact, my recap is pretty much the same as last time we went. When I mentioned on facebooks that Tears will glisten in the corners of my eyes. Hearts will be clutched (figuratively). Knowing glances will be shared with my best friend, it was all true. It all happened. But first we tailgated.
Turned out, my brother had tickets too so we headed down a bit early to tailgate with him and his friends. Rumor had it that people had been there since 7am for the 7pm show. Um really? I mean, I like a good time as much as the next girl but by 2pm, I would need a nap. I don't know how people do it. Two hours of tailgating was just enough for me.
Sorry for the crap pics. This time we were up in the nosebleeds and I was having a bout of vertigo. ( bad pun totally intended).
Nothing 5 or 10 beers can't fix!
Once again, the greatest show ever.

U2 just performed here in Montreal a couple weeks ago and I only got to hear the concert on the radio but it was AWESOME... they are soooo much better live!
Glad you had a good time!
Looks like a blast. And you and your friend look adorbs. ;)
You and your friend both have on totally cute outfits. I bet if Bono could have seen you in the nosebleeds, he would have winked. ;)
That was so much fun. Seriously. Also, I have decided that the last picture face is officially my buzz face. It shows up only when I am a few in.
So much fun!!!
The first picture is great of you guys!
I just finished Little Bee by Chris Cleave...this passage made me think of you:
“Everyone in my village liked U2,” I said. “Everyone in my country, maybe. Wouldn’t that be funny, if the oil rebels were playing U2 in their jungle camps, and the government soldiers were playing U2 in their trucks. I think everyone was killing everyone else and listening to the same music. Do you know what? The first week I was in the detention center, U2 were number one here too. That is a good trick about this world, Sarah. No one likes each other, but everyone likes U2.”
for the record, you are like the CLASSIEST tailgater/concert goer ever. I would have rolled in with my hair in a ponytail and a t shirt and jeans.
..and now I must hunt down Vertigo on youtube. thank you.

I don't care how many concerts I go to, my favorite will always involve U2.
I was a little dissapointed that there was no mention of "The Bull" in your entry. I was even hoping she would have made an appearance in the first pic, as you can clearly see her handlers. Any way, it was a lot of fun hanging out with you and Kelly. Send me that pic of me, Carla, and Reagan. Need to hang it above my bed!!!
The husband and I had tickets for the ZooTV tour in 1993, but due to a horrible scheduling error, had to give them away. I should have quit my stupid job then. :( So jealous, so glad you had a good time.
I missed the U2 concert in our area. Totally bummer. Glad you had fun.
