Birthday Weekend Snaps

I had a really good weekend.

We played.

We went on a date. To the movies. Saw the Hangover II. Three and a half stars. Funny but not as good as the orig.

We ate cake. John baked me up a homemade vanilla cake with homemade orange icing. Seriously, I've never had anything so good. When I heard the icing was orange, I got a little scared. But it was subtle and awesome and whatnot. Bravo John, bravo.

We went to the beach for the day.

We got sweaty and got pizza.

We took pictures with bad lighting but adorable faces.

We walked the boardwalk, bought salt water taffy and looked in lots of chotchke stores.

We got exhausted and took naps.

We went out with our buddies for mojitos.

We had a pretty great weekend.

And to keep you updated on my birthday wish list, I scored a mini doughnut maker, an eye-fi card and a photographer gift card! Life is good.

Oooh that sounds like perfect fun for the birthday girl! And I see you're turning the ripe age of 5...so many great years ahead of you Miss Shannon! ;-) How do you not squeeze the goodness out of that wee babe EVERY.SINGLE.DAY? He is just cute as a bug. (A non-threatening, pleasant looking bug of course)

A perfect combination of kid fun and grown up fun. My favorite kind of day.

Should I feel bad that I want to snip Gabe's eyelashes and glue them to my own?
