My cousin's wife called me Suzy Homemaker the other day, which I took as a huge compliment. I love perfecting my June Cleaverness. And my Martha-ness. And I love when my friends join me. Couple months ago, my friend Katie and I were driving back to my house and saw a pair of aluminum(?) chairs sitting out next to a trash can. They immediately called to us. Both of us. I think we both pictured them on our front porch. But who would take them? We returned to my house without them, probably due to an emergency leaky boob situation. Mine, not hers. But before she left, she asked if I minded if she went back for them. Uhhh sure, I said, giving up on them. I had quickly deduced that I didn't have the time or energy to clean these babies up. So off she went. The next day she emailed me, making sure I was cool with her getting them. And I realized I was. I mean, I love trash-pickin' as much as the next girl but did I really want my neighbor's trash on my front porch? Not really. But mannn, that trash is looking good these days. Check out the quickie clean-up and makeover...
So yeah, they're adorable. And I might be having a little trash picker's remorse these days. Next time? Throw em in the trunk and decide later. Take no prisoners. It's on.

Oh man. Those really are adorable. Just case their front yard once a week, I'm sure something else will come along!
How fun! Spray paint makes everything better. (duct tape can too)
We can start a time-share with the chairs. You have visitation rights since you were the first to see them. haha
I love the red (of course)... pretty sure I would have fought tooth and nail for those babies!
Love the red! Great find!
Great color choice! The red is fantastic. And I am sure there are many more pieces of fantastic trash just waiting for you down the road. :)
I love before and afters! And this is def. a cute one! The red really makes the chairs pop!

You seriously found these on the roadside??? I'm totally obsessed with them. They look amazing. And, you are a better woman than I. Would have totally pouted about not getting them. I'm such a model friend. ;)

You are so freaking lucky. I would hurt people to discover chairs like that on the side of the road.
I love how you went bold with the color. Tssssss.
Those are awesome! How come I never see anything like that next to the trash?!
I can't believe anyone was throwing those away!
