The Nursh is Open for Business!

The day has come, my friends. Welcome to Blinky's room.

Here's a secret.  The "A" is a placeholder. Sort of. If it's a boy, I have to go find another letter.  If it's a girl, it stays.  The silhouette is also a placeholder until Blink comes along and I can do a real one.

There's entertainment everywhere, books on the right, Ipod dock on the left.

DIY cribskirt. It was kind of a pain in the ass. Just an FYI.
See that orange egg crate on the floor? You know where I got it? Kim sent it to me. Why? Cuz she's awesome.

Extreme doorknob close-up Wuuuahhhhhhh!!!
Tiny bathrobes? I die.
Limited clothing here, folks. Sad, isn't it?
Oh look, another placeholer.  The bulletin board is takng the place of some yet-to-be-completed artwork that I commissioned my best friend to make.
So yeah, that's it. I kinda love it. I'm sure Blink will too.

Here's where I share how cheap I am:

Crib & Mattress - Gift from Mom
Glider & Ottoman- $200 Craigslist
Dresser - $30 Craigslist
Placemat Drawer Liners - $24 BB&B
Armoire - Owned

LOVEEEE!!! and that Kim is fab isn't she? Tommy's toys are in an egg crate, too. All the cool babies, ya know.

I love the wall color and that it allows the furnishings to take center stage. And the vingette above the dresser makes me swoon!

Wow. That looks so awesome! I almost got a little teared up picturing you rocking the baby in that chair.

I love all the little birdies!

Dude, looks amazing! Thanks so much for setting this up for me. I will be over tonight and in bed before 8. I also need to stop by Burlington apparantly. I didn't even know they sold curtains. Good score.

Shut. Up. Shutup. This is awesome! I LOVE. You did such a spectacular job! I need to pick up the pace! I have the furniture and rug, but none of the cute, personal doo-dads and artistic things you have! I need to get on that. Thanks for making me feel incompetent!

But seriously. Kickass.

Gorgeous! The curtains are my favorite part, with the birdie pictures a very close second.

I am seriously tearing up. This nursery is perfection. Honestly. I love it all. The bird canvases (you should sell those), the embroidered hoop (you should sell those), the letter and things about the dresser, the dresser. I just looked at the post 4 or 5 times so I could take it all in.

And, I'm so glad you like the egg crate. It kinda goes, doesn't it?

Kim @ NewlyWoodwards said...

Oh... and the curtains and pennant. LOVES.

And, you have my favorite type of crib, too.

SHUT UP. This looks like it's straight out of "Martha Stewart for Kids with Parents Who Are The Shiz".

Daaang. If Blinky doesn't like his/her digs, can I move in? :)

great room... I followed your YHL post over here. I laughed when I saw you shop etsy for ideas - I do that too!!... how reassuring... I just whipped up a modern family tree (the cross-section styled one) in no time. Best of luck with baby (I'm on mat leave with kid #2, now 3 months and a 2 year old - have embraced the chaos).

The nursery came about absolutely amazing! I love it and I cannot wait to hear about Blinky's arrival soon. Congrats on the YHL feature, too!

I love your nursery! We are doing a bird theme and I definitely used this room for inspiration. I was able to make my own canvas bird pictures that have been a crowd favorite for visitors. Thanks for the great ideas!
