The Baby Files - Weeks 29 & 30

Thanks for all your nice comments yesterday.  The consensus seems to be that 1) I can handle it 2) I deserve some sort of awesome present for going through it and 3) I'll be all the more aware if poo ends up on the delivery table. You guys sure see the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Anywho,  I decided to alter my baby files by adding new questions that might butter your bread, like what I bought this week and removing things that are just clearly wrong to air in public, like how much weight I've gained. Enjoy.
How far along? 30 weeks. Zoinks!

Maternity clothes? Once again, I caved and ran out and bought more clothes. But this time, I stuck with Target's clearance rack and grabbed some bigger "regular" sized skirts and dresses. I can't pass up a $6.48 skirt, ya know?

The belly
:

Sleep: Still doing pretty good. Although I'm getting night sweats. And I wish I were talking about comfy pants. No, I'm talkin stuck to my sheets sweaty. Is this blog glamourous enough for you yet? Because I'm apparently out to gross you out as quickly as possible. AND turn you off from pregnancy. You're welcome.

Cravings: Nothing really. I know. Can you believe it?

Best moment this week: Realizing my nursery is *almost* complete. I like to walk in there early in the AM and just look around and sigh in contentment. Then I go to work and dream up the fifteen billion OTHER things I could add to the nursery. Etsy is a bad place to dream.

Movement: Yes. This baby moves.

Gender: Did you know that they actually call women who don't find out the gender "Team Green"? Why do we have to be on teams all the time? First it was Edward or Jacob and now they want to recruit me to Green. No thanks. I'll just be sitting on the sidelines with a can of Miller Light. Go Team Kid!

Labor Signs: Nooooo and after the news I got this week, I kinda hope they never show.

Belly Button in or out? She's an innie still. At this point, I think we're safe.

What I miss: Your mom.

Weekly Wisdom: When your wife finds out about impending levels of pain she wasn't expecting, bringing her a milkshake definitely helps. I've got the greatest husband on this planet with a mindblowing ability to know when I am in need of an ice cream treat. I'm lucky.

Pregnancy is a Good Excuse for: Having John do the laundry. I just can no longer carry it up and down the stairs. Not because I'm a wuss but because I can't carry the basket anywhere close to me. The bell is in the way. Thanks baby.

What I Bought This Week: A baby book! I always loved going through my official baby book when I was little. Filled with hospital bracelets and family trees and locks of hair and whatnot. Wait a minute. I'm the third kid, I was lucky if my baby book had my name written in it. It was clearly my brother's books I so clearly enjoyed pouring over. I vow to fill them out though, whether it's for the first kiddo or the 5th. Ha. 5. Hilarious.

What I Checked off my To-Do List: I vetoed adding a bookshelf to the nursery and decided to go with a wicker basket instead. For once in my life I realized that a bookshelf is just another surface to dust.

Milestones: We're 3/4 of the way there. I'm looking into newborn photographers. I'm making a list of things to buy in bulk. I washed the crib sheets in Dreft. It's gettin real people.

Bringing you ice cream to cheer you up? Your hubs kicks ass. Good job on snagging a good one ;)

Can you do an entire post on maternity fashion? You seem pretty well dressed.

PS... I sent you an e-mail. Read it. Reply back. Or else... well, or else I'll be kinda bummed. That's it really.
