We had received Flyers tickets for Christmas from John's aunt & uncle. I had assumed that it was a plan to get the fam together and that they had given everyone tix, mostly because we're not huge hockey fans. Don't get me wrong, John can sit and watch any sport and enjoy himself. Me on the other hand? Not so much. Well to my surprise, we showed up and it was just the 2 of us, which was fine. Anyway, the game was good...I guess? They beat the Rangers so at least the infamous Philly sports fans weren't rearing their ugly heads at a defeat.
This view caused only a mild case of vertigo...

My favorite parts? Mites on ice! These little guys were so adorable playing about 2 minutes of a game with no goalies. Pure talent.
On our way out we had to stop and take a pic of the Spectrum, the arena of my childhood. It's coming down this year, which is sad.
All in all, it wasn't my first choice of a Saturday afternoon activity but we had fun. Plus, John took me to Ikea afterwards, which is definitely more my speed.
