Anyway, back to the margaritas. Saturday night was my best friend Kelly’s cousin Eileen’s (my cousin by association) bridal shower/bachelorette party. Eileen and Mike are heading down to Mexico to get hitched so Kelly planned a little fiesta in her honor. We started the night at The Mexican Post in Center City, where there were all the margaritas you could drink. Well, I didn’t want to be the party-pooper drinking a Yuengling so I ordered a Raspberry Margarita, on the rocks, no salt. I don’t care if it didn’t look like a normal margarita, it sure as hell tasted like tequila…..and I liked it! So much in fact, I ordered 4 more. So, uh, yeah go me! I tried something new and I liked it.

keep em comin!
You know the saying “You learn something new every day”? Well, it’s true. This past weekend (so yes, this post counts as flashback Friday) I learned that in fact, I do like margaritas. I’ve shunned the tequila-ridden concoctions since a horrible trip to Cancun when I was 18. Let me say, I can appreciate most any other form of alcohol but tequila was always a no-go. Plus margaritas have salt on them! Why do I want salt in my drink? Oh and while I’m at it, I don’t like Blood Marys either. Blecchhhh…If I want tomatoes with my alcohol, I’ll eat some spaghetti.
