well, christmas is over for another year. I received lots of goodies. John bought me a special edition of my favorite book "Lamb" signed by the author, Christopher Moore, which was wierd because I gave him a new cookbook signed by America's Test Kitchen's Christopher Kimball. A couple of weeks ago, he was at the Barnes & Noble downtown so I dragged Katie with me to see him. John was thrilled when he opened it, he knew he was in town for the signing but he had school that night and was really disappointed that he'd miss it. So I was Sneaky Pete that night and pulled it off!




dinner at Josh's on christmas eve was great. it was awesome having dad there. here's me and my pops. john got guitar hero III! dessert turned out well. i made santa cupcakes for the kids and


orange chocolate puffs for the grown ups as well as caramel apple bread pudding which got scarfed down before i got any pics. oh well, it looked like mush anyway.


we went on to john's sister's on christmas morning to see the kids, then over to his parents where we left with a ton of gifts. score!
christmas night was then spent at aunt kathy's where of course i drank like a fish and took "myspace" pics with my 16 yr old cousins. after we got home, we whipped out the guitar hero and spent the first of sure-to-be many longgggg nights in front of the tv.

now when i say that my friends are the funniest people i know, i'm not lying. last night was our Christmas costume party and jeebus h., i was dying of laughter for about a half hour after i saw each person. all of the costumes were so freaking awesome. so without furthur ado, the party guests.

Fragile! It Must Be Italian!

So this Saturday, my BFF Kelly & I are hosting a "Christmasween" Party at her house where we've instructed everyone to dress up as their favorite Christmas characters. None of us were able to get together for Halloween and I do love costumes, so we decided we should dress up. The costumes are somewhat of a surprise so I'm not saying what John & I are being yet but I'll be sure to post pics afterwards. It should be hilarry-ous.

Today, let's look back at last year's party, the "1st Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater" party. We all went out in search of the ugliest sweater we could find. Imagine my surprise when 5 of use showed up in basically the same hideously gorgeous, lime-green hot mess of a sweater. There's a reason we're friends, we all have the same grossly-misguided sense of humor. Sebbi even joined in on the fun. He decided to celebrate Hannakuh though in his royal blue sweater & was in a fantastic mood. He loves being dressed up in tiny sweaters.
